Not only does freshly divorced Danny have too much money, but he also has too much time on his hands. His new mansion is virtually unused, and the slovenly bachelor has no hobbies to speak of. More out of spontaneity than ambition, he decides one day to hire a personal trainer from the local fitness centre – much to the delight of its manager, Trevor, who sends his attractive trainer (and former mistress), Kat, to his well-heeled client. But Kat soon discovers that Danny is more interested in her backside than her training skills. Kat complains to Trevor, who threatens Danny. But somehow this carefree loser just takes it all in his stride. With RESULTS, Andrew Bujalski, the master of American underground comedy, brings us a hilarious fitness lesson on the relationship between love and money.

Danny, tout juste divorcé, est certes riche, mais s’ennuie à mourir. Sa nouvelle villa est à moitié vide, et le malheureux célibataire n'a pas non plus de véritables loisirs. Davantage sur un coup de tête que par ambition, il engage au fitness du coin un coach personnel, au grand plaisir du chef Trevor, qui envoie sa séduisante prof de sport (et ancienne maîtresse) Kat au client aisé. Mais Kat comprend rapidement que Danny s'intéresse plus à son postérieur qu'à ses conseils sportifs. Elle s'en plaint à Trevor, qui menace Danny, mais le célibataire blasé parvient rapidement à les mettre tous deux dans sa poche. Andrew Bujalski, le maître des comédies underground américaines, nous livre, avec RESULTS, une leçon de fitness ultra-drôle, mêlant argent, amour, et plus si affinités.
