It served as the basis for the Broadway musical masterpiece called 'The King and I', winning 10 Tony Awards over time, and an acclaimed live-action feature film, winning five Academy Awards. The musical and the film are possibly best known for their celebrated songs by Richard Rodgers and Oscar Hammerstein II, including 'I Whistle a Happy Tune,' 'Getting to Know You,' 'Shall We Dance?' and 'I Have Dreamed.'
