Synopsis DE
Isabelle (Isabelle Huppert) und Gérard (Gérard Depardieu) leben getrennt und haben sich seit Jahren nicht mehr gesehen. Nun folgen sie einer Einladung ihres Sohns Michael, die sie nach seinem Freitod erreicht hat. Ungeachtet der ungewöhnlichen Situation finden die Beiden in der Wüste zusammen und befolgen das von ihrem Sohn als eine Art Nachlass vorgesehene Programm. Synopsis FR
Isabelle et Gérard se rendent à un étrange rendez-vous dans La Vallée de la Mort, en Californie. Ils ne se sont pas revus depuis des années et répondent à une invitation de leur fils Michael, photographe, qu’ils ont reçue après son suicide, 6 mois auparavant. Malgré l’absurdité de la situation, ils décident de suivre le programme initiatique imaginé par Michael…
